I was on UCT's website the other day and I noticed they've come out with a trifold brochure on their dental, vision and hearing plan. It's pretty nice. I've ordered some. The thing that I like about the brochure is it shows the clients they'll have immediate coveage on alot of the services. One that suprised me is hearing aids. They will cover them immediatly at 60% if the client has never had a hearing aid and needs one. I called the home office to make sure that was correct and they said it was. If someone already has a hearing aid than it won't be covered for 12 months.

Are they still requiring you to purchase one of their policies in order to sell them?

I think you just have to be a UCT member. You don't have to buy their dental plan to sell it. I took the policy out last February and they just paid on a crown at 70% because I'm in the second year. They paid almost $700 on my claim

I contracted with them a couple months ago. I had to pay the Membership fee as well as a crappy AD policy for something like $20/yr. I wasn't to thrilled about that, but their DVH is performing well (about 2 to 1) with my customers head to head with Delta Dental. The comp is much better as well. I just dropped my personal Delta Dental plan in favor of UCT.

I am looking at getting contracted with them. The problem that I have, and I realize that my case is an isolated one but I am still an employee with UPS and have the best health insurance benefits...Go Teamsters. I hate the idea of having to purchase something that I will never use in order to sell their insurance.

in my opinion if you have to "be a member" to sell it then the policy is not worth putting my name on.
