Gentlemen it comes down to personal responsibility. Those who are truly poor have medicaid, the middle class and the wealthy have private insurance or group plans, the elderly have Medicare.

Yes people fall through the crack. Some people can't afford it true but others choose not to get coverage and then cry woe is me when they get sick. Emergencies are treated for all regardless of ability to pay.

I do not believe illegal aliens should be in the country. I do not believe that they should have access to social services like healthcare or education for their children. If they go through the necessary immigration procedure they are entitled to all the right therein however if they sneak across the border simply because Mexico is poor that is unacceptable and an untenable burden for the citizens of America. In today's economy I urge roundup and deportations of all illegal aliens then we would have plenty of jobs for Americans. America for Americans, Mexico for Mexicans. There should be no open borders as far as immigration is concerned and if you are illegal you are guilty of a crime and subject to summary deportation to your country of origin.

We are a nation of laws and illegal immigration is a crime according to United States codified law.

I want the same choice for my health care. I don't want the same health care as a non American. If I did I would go the Mexico or Canada and they would ship me right back home as fast as they could. In American we give them a drivers license, register to vote, show them how to get Social Services and free health care and then bus them to anti-American ralles so they can complain who bad American treats illegals.

I live in Charlotte, NC but currently I'm deployed to Okinawa, Japan with the Marine Corps. I'm in my mid forties. I entered the Marine Corps in 1982 right out of high school. I got out in 1990. I came back to the Marine Corps at age 41 because I felt it was my RESPONSIBILITY to help my fellow Marines. Nobody forced me, I volunteered.

I attended, and graduated from Penn State University. I began graduate school, but did not complete it (money). I worked full time while I attended school and paid every dime by myself and with student loans, which I pay back. I never EVER took a dime of "Title VII" money (grant money handed over to minorities) because I see it as a damn insult.

I've been everything from a tech support rep at an ISP to a Web Hosting Tech, to a Life Insurance Agent, to a VP of Asset and Contract Management, to a flatbed truck driver (which I had a LOT of fun at, just not enough money).

In other words, I could cancel these orders whenever I want to. The reason the worker down at the Holiday Inn making beds makes squat for an hourly wage, is that he/she is a contract worker rather than an employee, and has no benefits is because he/she can be replaced in a minute with an undocumented worker for even less. In most instances that has already happened. The influx of cheap labor is one of the main reasons why the working poor can no longer move up and have no benefits.

You and other libs argue that the mexicans take jobs that no one else will do. What you mean is that, no one else will do for the pay that they get. And the reason the pay is so low is because your policies encourage a constant influx of people willing to work for even lower pay, thus ensuring that the americans living here will never have the power to demand more pay either through simple demand/supply dynamics or through union organizing, either way. The libs have gutted the pay of "the people" they were supposed to be helping.
