UHC will use several different networks for 2015.
On-Exchange:
Most states will use the Compass Network.

The Compass Network has:
- No out-of-network benefits
- No Specialist benefits without a referral
- PCP required

Well..that's kinda right.

Compass is the HMO network in multiple states.

It Texas, we are using Choice for a second option. Choice is a PPO EXCEPT there is no OON.

Some states are using Compass and Choice, Choice Plus, Navigate or Navigate Plus. Its very state specific.

Just tryin' to help everyone here (since I was not posting to the Texas forum).

Actually, my post was exactly right (for this forum).

Maybe I read it wrong. I took it as "only" Compass was being offered on exchange. And all the UHC webinars were specific that there was a second option available if Compass was being offered.

What network and commission are they going to pay in Indiana?

For the 2015 UHC/GR commissions go to this thread:

On the subject of UHC and their foray into the 2015 Marketplaces, I find this interesting...

"But even if UnitedHealth and other publicly traded insurers are successful at securing a larger footprint in the exchanges, that will represent a small amount of their overall business. An analysis by Barclays found that if UnitedHealth attracts 10% of exchange customers in the 24 states where it plans to compete and that business turns a 3% profit, it would boost earnings per share by only 2%."

Few "national" carriers, other than perhaps BX, are committed to the IFP business long term. It was marginally profitable in the past and even less so now.

Most carriers have diversified their business model to the point where very little of it is risk based.

Great link. Thanks!

Is it just me or are we getting killed on 2nd year commission from everyone except BCBS?

Renewal commissions are thing of the past. Everyone can move every year (and probably should).

While everyone is looking at the plans for those in the cheap seats, the Gold and Platinum plans will probably see more shake up than the Silver, Bronze and Tin plans.
