UHC Rate MAPD Increase

A lot of times the coupon book has an EFT doc on the back that they can pay the first month, send a void check, and do it all in one shot without having to mail or email the EFT form.

I am calling all of my clients in this situation and offering to send the the s.s. deduction form. They all got the anoc and almost no one noticed the new premium.

In my case the really isn't any better option so helping them establish the automatic payment has went over pretty well.

I was told the Social Security Deduction could take 90 days to set up. :swoon:
So they could still get a bill and will be calling you asking why it is not coming out of Social Security.

I called and talked to 2 Customer Service people and said they did not know where to send the Social Security Form. Does anyone have an address?

They suggested that the client call Customer Service request the form and it will arrive in the mail in 7-10 business days with a return address where to send it. I don't want to try and keep track to see if they sent the form back.

I tried the s.s. deduction method 5-6 years ago with the old Secure Horizons. I had a few of these clients get hit with a bill from the insurance co. Some owed over $1,000. S.S. had not been deducting the premium from their s.s. checks. Maybe, s.s. has improved. Thanks.

I am now told they will receive an invoice in the mail in a couple of months. They will tear it off and mail it to UHC. They can pay 1 month or any other amount that they want up to 1 year. They will get a receipt showing money received and the amount left over for the year on the next invoice.

If they send in a check and sign the Auto Deduction Section on the back of the Invoice it will be set up for Auto Bank Deduction and they will use the info off the check they sent in.

There is still no information for Social Security Deductions. I am not pushing that option very hard, due to the slowness of getting it set up.
