Obummer lied to the carriers in the same way he lied to provider groups like AMA and of course the public.

Everyone would get what they wanted in exchange for their blessing and everyone would be happy.

Carriers got reinsurance kickbacks and compulsory participation.

Docs would get more paying patients.

Consumers would get to keep their plan and doc plus their premiums would drop by $2500.

Such a deal all around.

Growth in the number of new policyholders never happened. Reinsurance fizzled out.

Docs got more paper work, more expense to convert to EHR and the chance to treat more Medicaid patients.

And the consumers got screwed all around, except for the few that are getting a Cadillac for $2/month.

Truth is, the final law (which we had to pass in order to know what was in it) didn't even resemble the promise or the initial draft.

What we have is something totally unsustainable that has as much chance of surviving past the next election as expecting the Pope converting to Islam.

This has always been the plan of course. UHC/AHIP etc stuck their heads up Obama's arse to support CrockCare when he needed their support the most, along with AARP and their unholy alliance with UHC. In return, Obama (or the Sons of Obama- Bernie and Hillary who are actively trying to out-commie each other now) will now just throw them under the bus as examples of evil insurance companies who would rather make agents rich than hold their premiums down. Laughably, there is no truth to that but truth does not come into play when he speaks.

Obama has always been very clear that he supports single payer (at least he was willing to say that until he had to tone it down to promote Crockcare) but that "we would not get there immediately" and that there would need to be stepping stones.

But it will be promoted as "even better than Obamacare" and the dems will need to demonize the private sector even more to make sure everyone knows that that would be going backward rather than forward to have less government- especially since the script says that we have come so far with Obamacare. I am so excited about the health insurance marketplace in the next 2-5 years, lot's of options for growth.

I'm advocating to our grp that our best interest is in getting out of the IFP market, and moving to the Medicare market full time get trained on life/annuities, learn group next year do group/medicare work current health book we're spending $15k a day on Google PPC ads, avg client is $350 mo premium lol commission rates and google ppc costs are public - only reason to do it is make sure your reps stilll have a job.

Last 3 we had 3 advance carriers now just 1.

Cant wait for the law to be changed, provides more opportunities to flip the clients to something new.

The working middle-class, who are hurting the worst, are WAY too busy struggling to make a living & pay for their insurance premiums to even make a 50cent trip downtown!

How they gonna get to DC?
