Umbrella Help .

i figured that would be a reply.

Its honestly a good company. They pay well, take care of the customers, and are just good people to work with. Not an option at this point.

Why wont the B++ carrier write the umbrella? Seems like it would be better to move it to a company that can write the whole account.

Carrier doesnt write umbrellas.

Moving it is an option in the future but not at the moment.

So does anyone have an lead on it as is?

probably going to have to be surplus lines.

Im assuming you need to hit a certain limit for a contract?

Will the carrier just endorse the policy to 2,000,000 per occ or whatever it needs to be?

My professional opinion?

Most 'contracts' require a better rated primary carrier to begin with....so that could be a problem...and if you're getting an excess/umbrella line over a B++.....it's not the most desirable or cost effective solution, regardless of being in violation of whatever insurance requirement we're being asked to solve here....and probably slim to none other than Lloyd's which is a giant PITA considering the alternatives.

There's a story here as to why there's no A rated carrier willing to do it all for less. Garage Liability (+CGL) and Umbrella is a target class for a ton of carriers.

I'll need more to be able to help you. Why don't we have an A carrier to do everything you need?
