I mean, that is really every underwriter, isn't it? At least in the brokerage arena :)

am gen won't take a diabetic who has smoked in the past 36 months.
 
I guess well controlled is the key, I don't run into many that use tobacco and have well controlled diabetes. Its a very unlikely scenario.

Thank you very much for this information especially the one from Mr_ Ed which implies diabetics are not a hopeless case.
