Unemployment compensation

I have been in this business for almost 42 years. In 1999 in became a S-Corp and every quarter since I have paid into the FL Unemployment Compensation Fund. I have never considered myself unemployed. Someone must file claims because there is a fund available. Anyone here ever done it?

I have recently been diagnosed with a fissure. Thought I might have an issue with my colon so I had a colonoscopy. Had 1 polyp. This fissure is causing me lots of pain and sitting for periods of time is hard to do. Get it calmed down and then have a bowel movement and the next few hours is unbearable. Sounds like a disability, but if I took a few months off wonder if I could file an unemployment claim? Hard to claim that you are unemployed because you can make sales even if you can't drive.

I have had the surgery and was back at work within a week.

I went to a specialist and he wants it to heal with medication. So far no surgery.

Is it a fistula? Antibiotics will clear up the infection but do nothing for the root cause. the injury MUST heal from the inside out. My surgeon filleted that portion and it healed, no further issues for the last 5 year

It is an anal fissure which is a tear in the last few inches of my colon.
