Extremely over priced. You just have to hope that whomever you sell UHL to doesn't hear about MoO or Vantis.

I would say moderately over priced, cause if u compare MoO or Vantis to UHL yeah UHL seems high, but thats a product paying u full commish...MoO doesnt pay agents & Vantis is real low!

But now compare UHL to Monu's Easy Solutions or even worst Americo's UPII, it seems like a good deal then. UHL is probably the best full commish "GI" out there, least that Ive come across....so I wouldnt say extremely over priced! Americo's UPIII is EXTREME....who sells that??? Its like 2x's more then UHL!!

UHL f/tob. GI = $60.01

Same coverage is $29.70/mo with MoO. And it's a true GI. UHL has no right to call their pretend GI a GI plan.

Double the price is exteme to me. I know it would be if I was the one paying the premium.

The question wasn't which one is best for the agent. Plus if you sell one pretend GI with UHL you have to sell 4 or 5 of their crap plans to stay appointed.

TRUE, forgot that! But their premium plan isnt badly priced now, esp for F/NS, they're right in the ball game! BUT, the older then client is and/or if they are a smoker, UHL is pretty lame!

My whole point about GI being extreme is, if u consider UHL extreme.....what word do u give Americo's UPIII??

More extreme!!!

I use Gleanor Life now for my GI product, although it isn't a true GI issue. The only question that knocks them out sometimes is the hospitalization in the last 6months. The rates are very close to MOO and Vantis. If they don't qualify for that I go to Kemper. I am not giving any recommendations to MOO, they are undercutting our business by not offering it to Independent agents while sticking us with all there other way more UW (non friendly) FE plans that nobody really writes.

NO WAY i am referring anybody to them, sorry JD and others, not a big fan of MOO unless we are talking the lowest rated Med Sups in a particular area. NO need to give them business they don't deserve.

I'm not a fan of MoO either. I've said before that I may have to eat these words but I don't to ever write another MoO, UoO or whatever their name of the month is again. I'm down to 4 clients on MoO med sups and those folks just can't qualify to move or they would be gone.

That GI whole life they have just happens to be the best deal for people that have to have GI. I hate to refer people to them but it's in their best interest. Just as I refer some people that need an MA plan to a debil, {Humana}, agent. I refuse to write that but when it's the best plan for someone in a particular county then I refer it out.

MoO hates for us to send people to their GI plan because we send only people that can't qualify for anything else. They want to sell that plan to healthy people and they do. I run into people all the time that have the MoO GI and could be on 1st day coverage. I replace everyone of those that I run across. Vantis is pretty close to MoO in price even though it's as good of a plan for the client. Since Vantis has been available I give people the number for MoO and also Newby's number for Vantis.

It's always come back to me somehow when I refer those out. I show people the price for Americo, Kemper and used to Presidential and tell them that I could write those but the reason I don't is apparent. They appreciate that and I don't remember ever not getting a referral from them to someone I could write.

The side of the coin is that is just business that I don't want. If I'm sending someone to MoO or Vantis it's because they just cannot qulaify anywhere for something better. If they are borderline I usually try something else first before referring them out. So only very sick people are being referred. The odds that they make it 2 years is pretty slim. Even if I wrote the business the chargeback policies of those GI plans are terrible and I would lose the commission anyway. I know some of them live for years and years. I wrote a guy on Presidential almost 9 years ago that's still hanging in there. He is the only client I have with them now. I make $2.50/mo renewals from him. The minimum deposit with them is $25 so every 10 months I get a $25 deposit in my account for that case.

It's also my hope that by agents putting those very sick people with MoO it will have an adverse effect on that product and that they will either allow us to sell it, discontinue it or raise the rates.

JD, you are doing it the right way. I just hope agents aren't sending them to MOO just for the name itself while loosing out on a good client relationship. Gleanor is my go to company unless they don't qualify. I feel MOO is playing sneaky tricks by offering this product and not giving their agents the proper tools to succeed. If it wasn't for the name, I would never have them in my toolbox and will never refer them business or even mention the name unless somebody says they have them or would like to be with MOO. (regardless of what rate they are offering). It is a 2 year suck it in but don't say it policy much like what Coloinal Penns ads are on TV. Lets get Alex Trebek and all is good. A good agent should always explain a policy for what it is.

I agree with what you are doing JD, I just can't recommend it regardless of what the rate is.
