So far i have appalachian underwriters and the free trial on noodle to access more carriers, the problem is i wait forever to get a quote and most of the time they decline my client where when i go to the carrier's website to quote the declined client he gets accepted and quoted :swoon:
not to mention in order to get noodle to quote my client faster i have to call them or email otherwise it can take up to a week.
anyone else has a similar experience?

What kind of risk do you have? You may need surplus lines wholesalers for the unusual ones. Though AppUnd can underwrite hard to place risks, timing may not be that fast?

Also what State are you in? You should try locating markets using "Insurance Journal's" mynewmarkets.com and do a search on the type of insurance you are looking for.

RBA-Having direct access to carriers is good if you can access them but I'm sure that you don't place all the risks that come across your desk.

Bill, Metlife, Safeco and Travelers, haven't written home insurance in Florida for years. There are, I believe, 47 companies in Florida currently writing new business. Check out the states website to get more info. www.floir.com It is important you know who is and who is not writing. What area of Florida are you in. If your in South Fl. you are gonig to have a hard time placing all HO risks especially not having any appointments. Commercial Property can be even harder to place especially in South Fl., with Wind.

We are also near Tampa, Specifically Polk County and Orange County. HO carriers are getting very tight in our areas right now so I assume yours too. Did you try contacting the carriers I mentioned to you?
