Just to open myself up to a massive attack, I decided to post this. ..

When should you contact your upline vs the agent support team of the company?
So many people reply to contact your upline when some issues I would call the company direct.

Like this guy asking about monumental agent web site. Everyone suggests he contact his upline. I don't see why? If his upline told him he was contracted and there is an issue with his log on. What do you think the upline will do? I say call the company

Good question. Company for web assistance, commissions, supplies, questions specifically on doing business with that company.

Upline on most underwriting questions since you will want to know if there are other companies that will should be considered. Marketing and how to run your business should be upline questions.

Lets expand the question. When do you bypass the company and your upline and come to the forum? Many seem to take offense to anyone asking a question here that could be answered by their upline or the company. So WHAT can't you get from those and should this forum be for just whatever you CAN'T get from your upline and the companies?

Good answer and accurate, if one could assume that ALL uplines were created equal, but as you know they are not. Most are great at getting you to execute contract paperwork and quite short on trng and support.

 Do you happen to know any uplines that deliver on trng and support...?

I'm inclined to agree with you that most things should be straight to the carrier. Scott makes an excellent point about contacting your upline about different carrier suggestions based on underwriting because I can't imagine them saying "we wouldn't give them the best product, you should contact one of our competitors". Any specific underwriting questions, commissions, product details, etc are going to be answered more quickly and more accurately from the carrier most of the time.

Company - commissions, website support, client service

Upline- underwriting, training, marketing, Managing your agency, creating a business plan, ect...

My uplink talks sense back into me when I'm being stupid or not doing the things I already know I should be doing in addition to helping with things like finding the right company for the right client, helping me with lead and marketing ideas and general questions that I can't answer but he can with his many years of experience. I would recommend Todd King to anyone looking for someone to not only set you up with high contracts but also do all the things I just described and more. The most important part is I know I can trust Todd. That can't be said for everyone.

Your upline should be able to answer these questions for you...

The forum is for giving people the beat down that ask questions that should have been answered by their upline.

Seriously, the forum is to bring ideas

Go ahead and ask questions. I think that is what this forum is for. Wade through the comments of those who have their panties in a wad and learn from the answers of the posters who will give you an honest answer. My two cents.
