Using a MAC to Sell Health Insurance

Hey everyone,

I was just wondering if anyone in here uses a MAC to write their insurance business. I just got one, and I like it way better than a PC. Trying switch everything over and wanted to see what everyone's opinion is.

Thanks

I'd never use anything else, I run parallels when I have to use IE and supposedly MS programs runs better on the Mac.

Would you continuously buy a car from a manufacturer that produced lemons, had problems and gave you a headache? No way, so I have no clue why people use PC's.

Afraid of the minor learning curve? Get over it, it's second nature in no time, just like doing an online application is after your first few times.

Rob. Wow, another Big Mac fan. I still use a PC, but I have to agree that Mac is probably way better from what I have heard. At least that is what my son tells me, and he is in the computer business.

Buy a Mac, buy Parallels, install Windows on a tiny little partition, enjoy having a superior computer and operating system while still having access to Windows for those few PC-Only programs.

No problems using a Mac. You can run Firefox, and other applications. When needed you can run Windows if you have to. I would use VMWare over Parallels ans Parallels is a huge piece of $#!@ IMHO.

There is nothing you can not do on a Mac, other than catch viruses - you will need a PC for that!

Well said.

My brother switched all his PC's to Linux and it works like a MAC, if not better.

Why anyone settles for inferiority in anything is beyond me. Maybe inaction and fear of change keeps PC's with the largest market share.

MACs are better from a number of standpoints, but it is less about the OS and more about the browser and the software solutions you use. Most programs/softwares are migrating from a local based solutions to a web based solutions. Think GoogleDocs, Quickbooks Web Version, Mint.com, Salesforce.com etc...
