Has anyone ever received an offer for their website or domain out of the blue? If you were selling your website and/or domain what would you charge?

Well naturally that is going to depend on how many leads you're site generates per day of course.

If your first page on Google you get a lot more value for it. Ask what they are willing to pay and then see if it is worth it to you? They may just want domain name and not site.

So if it's compared to selling a business making money, how much would an insurance website cost if it generated 10 leads per month? What about 20? Do you take that figure and multiply by cost per lead, then by a certain amount of months?

Selling a website is like selling any other business asset. A buyer would likely pay a multiple of the annual cash flow generated by the site. If you have a system to track traffic, leads, sales, commissions, etc it puts you in a great position to establish your site's value and back it up with cold hard facts.
