Wanting to Branch Out from MAPD & Supps to Life

I am a 1099 broker selling MAPD, Sups and PDP in Seattle. I started 4 years ago and have about 400 clients. I want to branch out because of the commission cuts on MAPD & am looking to sell life products.

Recently while exploring life insurance for myself I was somewhat recruited by a WFG sales guy - he was showing me a life product with a LTC rider and some tax free savings attached. I am not interested however in recruiting new agents and want to maintain my own book of business. I might recruit if the product was so good that it made it easy - but really just want to sell insurance. There is not a lot of information on the forum regarding Aegon, Transamerica or WFG.

Any thoughts would be helpful. I have 5 teens and do not want to spend a ton of time riding around with someone else on training, sucking the life out of my friends and family...I am a self starter with the ability to sell like mad - please direct me. Also, I was burned my first year with a crappy FMO that would not release me - can't have that happen again. What company should I be looking at for this venture?

Also would entertain phone sales on sups - just not sure where to start. I have some leads currently for this. Thank You
