i believe young people in the US should pay the least for auto insurance since they can least afford it. while people in their at their peak earning power in older age should pay more, since they can afford it. i do not believe in age rating. or at the very least, everyone should pay the same per car for auto insurance.

if social security paid me a living wage (i.e., minimum wage), i'd be happy to buy insurance. but until then, i need to cut corners. my income is about $700 per month, and that is only after years of annual cost of living increases. it started out around $480 per month in 1992. you try living on that, especially when rents here in California go for $700-$900 for a 1BR apt or studio.

pay me a living wage! the same for those who receive unemployment, workmen's comp, SSI, welfare, TANF, etc. pay people a decent income and they'd be more able to pay their bills.

Pay you a living wage? Try getting a job. SS, welfare and unemployment is not a wage. No wonder you have nothing and never will have anything.

You are going to be in a shock when your pathetic little existence gets worse. The whole welfare state especially in Calif will implode a lot sooner then you think. The state is imploding because too many losers/parasite's like you. It must really suck to be you.

So you received Medicaid, Medicare, SSI and food stamps?

I believe this is possible, but not positive. I have run into a 45 year old woman with Medicare Part A due to a disability. I don't know how that works with her income below the poverty level, would Medicaid integrate with the Part A piece?

*As a side note, the woman I ran into was of the same mindset as this person. Disabled, but "working" for cash. Also, was selling the pain killers in which she received via a prescription on the street. She is the spouse on one of the group plans I handle, she alone has this small group on the max rated table. All the other employees subsidize her not to mention the tax dollars at work from us.

If she doesn't want health insurance companies to exist, then why is she supporting the healthcare reform. Does she not know that more people will have to buy insurance under the Senate's healthcare proposal?
