Web Site Video on the Cheap

I fear the impact of increased bandwidth.

When everybody had dial up the web was mostly words and pictures with small file sizes.

This meant that a lack of money didn't keep you from competing so long as you could afford web hosting and had the requisite skills and knowledge to create and promote a website.

Now that more and more people have high speed, there is a potential that companies that can afford to create slick videos will have an advantage over the rest of us.

Eventually the web may be dominated by those who can create slick expensive content.

I hope I'm wrong.

There will always be free solutions to anything money can buy. Granted they may not have as many bells and whistles, but they are our there...But in the end it is the content not the features that sell a prospect to become a lead. Look at the auto industry and how much money the US Auto makers had and do spend on marketing, it is not driving up their market share nor revenue.
