I have learned something regarding resolution for EGHP or coordination of benefits through Medicare.
Medicare # for coordination of benefits and recovery call center. new to me, so thank you for that one.
I don't know where the EGH reference came from. He's been on a Med Supp for several years now, no EGHP prior and has had medical services with his OM/Med Supp during the past few years with no problem until now, so that's the head-scratcher for me.
So, Mr Murphy at work here so it appears.
I suppose we can cut them some slack, but that's unbelievable!
Did he possibly not reach is part B deductible the last 2 years therefore no claims? He must have had some type of employer ,union etc coverage previously for this to pop up. when you call the coordination line they should be able to tell what previous plan is causing the issue.Also i have seen cases where there was a eghp still active and everything went fine for a while until a different provider file a claimed
