What About Senior Life?

I'm interested in the Med Supp/ Final Expense market.

I found a Senior Life agency in my region that is looking for someone NOW. I spoke with one woman who came into MY TOWN last week for two days with 13 exclusive leads, met with 5 families and wrote 12 policies. She made $4,000.

It was unclear from her email if that was the annualized commission or just her advance.

Their contract is only 65% which is dismal compared to some of the stuff I've been reading on this forum, but it might be a way to get a fast start in this market.

What are your thoughts? Go ahead and email me if you want.... I've emailed most of you who seem to be involved in FE and I've just been "biding my time" waiting for your responses!

I don't know a ton about the company as a whole BUT I do know that the office in my state is run by a guy who is a part owner and they are a MLM joke.

They will supply you with leads that have been worked , reworked and reworked again, however they will print them out on brand new green, pink and blue cards to keep them looking fresh.

Their meetings are like hitler youth rallies with music, dancing, and cheering for their leaders.

There is a ton of information about them on the internet and a ton this forum also.

I would say that if you are looking for structured lead program in this market there are better companies.

On this forum Frank Stastny is the go to med supp guy.
And there are final expense guys also, Travis has been here a while and Jodi has started site to help new agents, you wont have to look far to find them and who knows they might even find you.

Good luck.

Go to Frank Stastny for Med sups and Jody108 for FE. Both will steer you in the right direction.

65% for life is low, but being brand new look at the whole picture do they offer FREE and FRESH (not 2006) leads and great training and support?

You can get your own leads and you can get lots of help in places like these. But you are out there all alone. IMO there is no 1 right answer for everyone.

Good Luck

Thanks for those replies. I had no indication that this had some kind of MLM-type recruiting structure. My contact with them goes back less than 24 hours. I don't want to do "meetings."

I work on a Mac, so I don't think I can work with Frank-- at least until he comes out with a MAC-friendly or web-based version of his product!

Jody has shut down his program or so it appears.

I've reached out to a couple of others here... still waiting.

Are you licensed and ready to go or is this a totally new venture for you?

My last bit of advice would be to keep calling till you get what your looking for. A little extra initiative goes along way with people that are busy.

I know Frank and I am pretty sure that he doesn't discriminate against people with "Macs'
yea you can't use YIO but I am sure you could work something out.
Just my 2cents.

I'm licensed but not appointed with MS or FE carriers. I've been gathering info on that.

I have been L&H and Med Supp licensed since 1998 but have been working part-time since I have to be home at 3 to get two little girls off the school bus. I have to stay home if someone is sick and so forth.

I've been looking for ways to work more from home and to do more daytime work. I can get out of the house from 7 AM until 3 PM-- unless someone is home sick, of course!

I didn't mean to impune Frank. I gather he has an impeccable reputation (I'm new here). He seems to link his training to those who use his system and since I'm not eligible because of my Mac-ness.... I don't want to take his time up... but I see an invitation!

Ever considered sell FE over the phone from home? What state are you in? If interested call Greg 252-292-3350.

I always have time to talk to an agent.

You don't have to be using YIO to talk to me. I can help you get started and we can talk about selling Med Supps over the phone and cross selling FE. FE is always easier to sell to a Med Supp client after you have saved them money.
