Question about PDP commission

Humana is no longer paying commissions? This is news to me...can anyone else confirm? I cant find anything on this.

I like your suggestion and I'll probably start doing exactly this unless I can get paid on the PDP. If this is the case with Humana, I'll switch him back and then tell him its up to him to do this.
Humana's Basic Rx PDP not commissionable according to Search and Save.

I've said it before, fees are the future of this biz
If Democrats got elected again, I'd agree with you. But since Trump got in, I know the industry will do a complete 180 and go back to normal. Won't be overnight, but little-by-little, you'll see it normalize and stabilize.

The hospitals will start getting more money, as the Trump administration will go back to paying them more for Medicare and kicking out illegal aliens that are draining them of money.

Trump will also slash the supposed "Inflation Reduction Act" which is draining insurance companies of TONS of extra money, and he will massively ease up on the super ridiculous star ratings qualifications for more money, like call recording, scope of appointments, etc.

He will also lift many of the stupid restrictions and burdens that agents have which costs us and the companies business and money, at times.

It's an entire ecosystem. This will all massively ease the burden. Then you'll see hospitals happier, insurers happier, agents happier, seniors happier because they're getting way more plan options, way more agent help, and way more benefits again.

But yea, if Democrats got in again....we were toast, in my opinion. They would've kept dismantling insurance and agents, little-by-little. A deliberately orchestrated controlled demolition.

Medicare/senior insurance would've continued to get more terrible, with little options, and the options that existed would be high-cost.

Agents would've been cut out, as funds would've continued to be cut for Medicare, and I think most insurers would've exited the space, save for maybe a plan or two that's not commissionable.

Basically, they wouldn't have even cared, as there wouldn't have been an incentive to care. This is why elections matter a LOT for us agents, and all agents need to really start paying attention to politics and get involved.

What are you going to say if he does non of those things?

He has already said the inflation reduction act has to go, and he already said needing to wait 48 hours to talk to an agent is ridiculous. And we already obviously know what he's gonna do with illegal aliens. Believe me, him and his team are being educated on all of these things in real time.

Can you link a quote or article about what you are saying?

He was talking about Medicare/scope of appointments at a rally he did in late September or October. I'll try to find it, but it'll be hard. He didn't mention the scopes by name, but he said it was ridiculous people had to wait 48 hours to speak to an agent, so he was definitely referring to them.

His administration also repealed the 48 hour rule back in 2017. Then Biden and Kamala got back in and it went back to 48 hours. Democrats just do this crap to slow us down, on purpose.

I'm not even so much concerned with those, as we agents know how we handle that BS anyway, but the call recording burden has to go. I know most us aren't doing that either, but it's just another technical regulatory "gotcha!" that shouldn't exist at all.

His pick of Dr. Mehmet Oz is also a strong indicator as to how this will go, as Dr. Oz is very strong on Medicare Advantage Plans and stand-alone prescription drug plans.

There is 99% confidence in me saying he will do nothing but bolster them financially from all of the money they have been stripped of by Biden/Kamala. And despite the fear-mongering from the far left, I know Medigap won't be touched.

This is in regards to the Inflation Reduction Act

Do I think he'll repeal absolutely everything in the Inflation Reduction Act? Probably not, but he will definitely repeal all of the ridiculous aspects, which will go to properly funding Medicare and insurance companies again.

Excerpt from behind the paywall......

"Perhaps the biggest changes could involve Medicare Advantage plans, privately run alternatives to traditional Medicare that now enroll more than half of all beneficiaries.

In recent years, the Advantage program has been squeezed by rising costs and falling revenue. A Republican administration is more likely than a Democratic one to increase the rates the government pays to Advantage plans, says Chris Meekins, healthcare policy analyst at Raymond James. Medicare Advantage stocks like Humana have rallied since the election on expectations of a more favorable regulatory climate under Trump.

Increased revenue to plans will likely translate into benefit improvements, Meekins says. While Medicare Advantage and traditional Medicare must provide the same core services under the law, Advantage plans often offer extras like free gym memberships and limited dental benefits.

Some Advantage plans have had to curtail their supplemental benefits for 2025. Any subsequent improvements wouldn't take effect until 2026 at the earliest, since plan design for next year is already set....."

They don't pay on the Basic Plan

He's like Jesus, except for the parts about morality and honesty and humility and kindness. He absolutely thinks about health insurance agents and he has a strategy to protect us and strengthen us.

Just like how he loves all the people in America and is only (reluctantly) president because he cares about all of us.

In Trump's name we pray. Amen!!!
