We both do a presentation to one prospect for FE. Both have the same price but i do offer my knowledge in homeowners. Who do you think would get that business? Knowledge is power sir ....
If you think that will work then I couldn't agree more with Matt in saying go for it. To answer the question you posed, I think the guy just pitching FE will do better. If you try to pitch more than one product at a time you're giving them exponentially more reasons to say they want to think about it and/or not want to do it. What if their house won't pass an inspection and you can't save them money? Do you think they wouldn't just say "forget it all, I'm going to find an agent that can actually help me with everything"? On paper it sounds great to try to be a one stop solution, in application folks that stay laser focused tend to do much better. There are tons of agents that try to do multiple lines, but they usually end up losing business to folks that are laser focused. The ones that stay focused tend to also stay in business a lot longer.
Like I said, if you think it's a unique value prop and it will work then go for it, but people are irrational and just because it sounds like a good idea doesn't mean people will go for it.
