What Do You Drive?

I might drive that foreign crap is I lived in Japan and did business in Japan but since I'm an American doing business in America I chose to drive and buy american.

My cars are German, my bike is a Honda.

What "American" car do you drive?

The Jeep and the Mini are actually German companies. But I think the Jeep was "assembled" in the USA and the Mini will be "assembled" in England.

The Mazdas were "assembled" in Japan even though the Ford Motor Company owned 33% of Mazda at that time.

It's a world economy JD. You must embrace this new world.

Guess since this thread came back to life ill post my new car change.

In may I bought a new Kia optima premium turbo.

If you need to justify driving foreign then why not just buy american to start with?

Chevy Impala. Chevy pick up, GMC Accadia. When I was showing horses it was a chevy dually and an Elite LQ trailer. When I had a bike it was a Harley and if I ever own another one it will be a Harley.

I've never owned a datsun or kia or whatever rice burners there out there nor will I take as a rental when I travel.

I don't think it's a matter of justifying it as much as it's a matter of realizing that even if it has an American company's logo on it, doesn't mean it was made in America. Chevy builds a lot of product outside this country. Here is an interesting article that's a little old, but not much changes:

Is Your Car Made in America?

To turn this back around, if you want to buy american, shouldn't you really know what you're buying?
