What is the Best Age to Buy Long Term Care Insurance?

From what I have learned, the sooner the better. With each day you wait, it seems that the industry changes so much and it's not for the better for the consumer. If I had waited a year, I would have had less options and a whole lot more cost. So it seems that sooner than later is the best way to go.

Well, it didn't actually happen to me, I was just trying to make a point.

But, as I stated in a previous post, I do have a friend, who at the age of 44 was diagnosed with early onset Parkinson's. He started of receiving home care for 3 years and has now spent the past 13 years in an ALF. He was in the LTCi business and was smart enough to purchace a policy 2 years prior to his diagnosis. To date, his policy has paid out $1,500,000 and the claim is still ongoing.
