What is your AEP Goal for new business?

Relatively new in the industry, I am curious what everyone's AEP goals are.

I know it should be as many as possible, but do you have a number you aim for?

I know some agents mainly use AEP for maintaining and updating. For those that have large books what is your balance?

100 new to me, and maintain and up date,

I've been in the game for a while, so I really don't have any. Your first 5-6 years (and especially those first 5 or 6 AEP's), you should just focus on building up as much as possible (while retaining of course). After that, AEP becomes more about retention and snapping up some referrals here and there. Eventually, if you're doing it right, it'll get big enough to where you can't take on too many new people.
