What is Your Day Like ?

I think it depends on the person.Some people do nothing but door knock and kick ass. Some make their own appts and others have appt setters. Which is best?

I don't honestly know, but for me I have an appt setter. I've tried door knocking when she's had a bad week and I
have yet to find anyone at home. For me its a waste time.

I always recommend you try all? The least favorite of mine? The appt setter. I don't trust anyone to set a "qualified" appt for me off leads that "I" purchase. But...it works for some. But even those agents, at least the one's I know and work for us, door knock in between.

Next in line, setting your own appts. best time is 9-10:00 a.m. on the way to your first home. Then 6-9:00 p.m. for the next day. never further out than that. If they go out further, I will set it, but I will let them know that I will call to reconfirm at "such & such" of time and if they don't answer, I won't be there. Unless I have nothing going on at that time then I will go 30 mins early.

Last...I'm a door knocker thru and thru. I love it and I drive a gas gussler. Always have. Growing up in Cleveland on the lake...you need an SUV. Not trying to show off, but I have no problem and actually love more than anything, driving in those "bad neighborhoods" to be politically correct, in my Range Rover or Mercedes. never, in 11 years, have I ever had anything happen. Not even close. Have some really funny as hell stories though!

So, to answer your question....try it all. Use what you're ultimately comfortable with but I believe a good agent is diverse. No a little of this? Try a little of that? You will never starve.

I"m always shocked at the little amount of time some agents give this business and then are shocked that they dont get better results.

The avg agents day, is either finding someone to prospect to or it is out writing someone up.
