Whats a IMO? and Where to Get Help?

I want to start in the Insurance business and no nothing about the terms you guys use. I want to be my own agent and hire no one else. I can sell snow to a eskimo and have a ton of people i know and a ton that would switch over when i become a agent. i would like to work out of my house if i can if not no big deal. i have a farmers guy that will train me but everyone tells me not to go that route. is there a course a online school or some place to learn? i could use all the help i can get.Iam in the music and like i said i know alot of people in the milwaukee area............Thanks..........Jim
