OK then, Halls Crossroads.
Close enough.
There are quite a few agents in your area that are licking their chops to come behind you. Peddling UA crap because they pay 40%+ when clients can qualify for REAL coverage should be a crime.
Blue in TN is not the same as Blue in FL.
That plan might play well in Tazewell, Corryton or Powell . . . at least until someone needs it. Then somebody with a shotgun is going to come looking for you.
Do yourself and your clients a favor. Look for another career. Maybe selling mobile homes for Clayton would be a better fit.
See my post in the general agents forum. I'm interviewing with Travelers tomorrow. I don't work for United American. I once did work for them when I first started, but like I've already pointed out a few times, I don't write their business at the moment.
I also did not write the insurance policy for my mother. She met with an independent agent long before I ever got into health insurance. She just showed me what she had and I told her I'd look into it for her. It worked well enough for her on the ankle break ($600 out of pocket? c'mon...).
I looked it over, she had some of the smaller coverage with the UA and Accident plans (not a major med, but still, limited benefits in a budget she can afford... not knowing anything else in TN, it looked better than any coverage UA offered on its own). The high end is covered for most major events. On the surface, there's no way for me to know if it's good or not without having access to those carriers.
So, don't mistake me. I didn't write it. I looked at it. I read through the coverage and the benefits. If it's junk, you'll have to go into more detail here and explain that. It's better than other coverage out there, it's better than Mega, it's better than UA, and it's better than a lot of the other flaky coverages out there.
And you're close on my location. I'm actually off of Western about 3 miles west of I640. It's nice up here, and it sounds like you might miss it a bit, yes? Little nostalgic are we? Yearning for that ole bit of TN Dogwoods and ... oh come on, how can you NOT miss Dollywood?!
I'm just kidding... I worked at Dollywood as a carnie guy like, 12 years ago..? I wouldn't recommend it.
