What's the Skinny on United Heritage

Oh. I thought he meant that insurance companies were adding fees to file their claim.

No, Sai has it correct. I probably did state it incorrectly. If a client can have the money in hand before the service, as opposed to waiting weeks or more, it is less likely they will need to finance the funeral through the funeral home.

Yes. All funeral homes definitely accept cash in hand. Most will discount around 5% for cash.

Add the 5% to the saved financing fees and the savings can be substantial. Is it worth the extra premium?

On the same topic, are you using Forethought any more than before. I understand there were some underwriting and issue inconsistencies.

ForeThought is the company that "could" be the hottest thing in FE...but the just won't.

The have the best extra benefits (grandchild, accidental, terminal illness riders) 24-hour death claim, best brochures and planning guides, good rates, point of sale approvals, decent commission (except they killed their renewals like most FE companies), and they are one of the most recognizable names in the business to Funeral homes.

But they decline and rate up almost everyone. If someone too a med 20-years ago they will rate them up over it on a 2-year look back question. They will as you to get letters from doctors offices and they can review and consider stuff...huh?

They have the most well tuned sales prevention department in the industry.

I knew them back in their glory days. At one time they were the absolute best company to deal with you could ever dream up. They were lean and mean and we sold the fire out of them. I keep thinking they will become a force to be reckoned with again someday. They just have to decide to do it.
