What's Up at Settlers?

Just called to do a POS at Settlers. Got a recording that all the underwriters were in a meeting until 3:30PM EST.. Tried calling agency services and got the a message concerning all departments being in a training session.. Have never heard of a company shutting down completely during normal business hours for a meeting.

Our offices close 4 PM -5 PM EST for quarterly employee meetings that we have been holding since 2000. Calls for POS Interviews are handled by MRS during these times.

Regarding the reference to receivorship, those are ugly rumors and untrue.

They are definitely a class act.. Super people with whom to do business..

Eddie Grills from Settlers was on the road yesterday and met with me at my office.

He told me about a couple of things Settlers is bringing out by this fall. Good stuff.

They currently have some very unique options way beyond ANY other FE company on the market. But they are even going to get better.

One thing I didn't want to hear is they are CONSIDERING raising 1st year commission and lowering renewals like all the other companies. That is a huge step backwards and I hope they don't do that.

If I see one more company raise 1st year 5 to 10 points and take 40 to 50 points off the renewals and agents who flunked math think they got a raise, my head will explode.

Settlers is currently most agents HIGHEST paying contract over 10 years. I hope that doesn't change.
