Where is the Beef ?

I just got my Coventry statement in the mail today and they've charged back $200 for each case that was a first timer to MAPD from PDP. So not only haven't they paid me the additional money they owe, but have charged back the original $200 they paid.

Don't you just love these MA carriers? Now I get to spend some time on the phone in the morning trying to educate them on how to add and subtract. Fun, fun, fun!

Heard today that Coventry is dropping out of IFP in Texas. I get the feeling that they are not long for the world, someone's gonna swoop in (UHC?) and pick it up for a song...

MA is sh*t
:skeptical:

At this morning's weekly Medicare Advantage Breakfast Roundtable, routinely attended by not only me, but leading CMS bureaucrats and MA CEOs, (held at First Watch in Fairfax, VA), I overheard the CEO of one of the largest MA companies (can't reveal which one) addressing this comp issue: "Agents? F*** 'em! We'll pay 'em when we're good and ready."

Uhmm, where in Faifax is First watch ?

Isn't First Watch sort of like a Denny's or Shoney's?

When my wife and I were newlyweds living in Cincinnati, we went to First Watch for breakfast one morning, and their omelettes were something like $9 for one omelette. My wife ordered one because she heard they were really really good, but what she didn't know was that they're freaking HUGE omelettes. I swear they used at least a half dozen eggs for that one omelette!

When the waitress brought it out to her, practically every person in the restaurant was gawking at the size of that omelette. My wife was SO embarassed!! She had no idea what she was getting into!

I ordered s**t on a shingle, which was excellent. Of course they don't call it that there, but any Navy veteran like myself knows exactly what s**t on a shingle is. Can you say "midrats"?
