This doesn't come up too often, but if you get a call from someone who needs a decline letter to go on a GI plan, do you send them a link to the company that is quickest, or pays the least comp just to make em work for nothing like you just did? Or do you tell the person you can't help them? Just wondering...

well with the texas risk pool all I have to do is sign off on it (they have an agent page) and thats it.....and in a couple months I get a check for $50.....

Here in GA we don't get paid a penny. We have PCIP on our quotit engine though out of the goodness of our hearts

I send them to an STM like HPA for a quick rejection and instant Dear John letter.

Get's them off the phone in 2 minutes.

I send them to Aetna. Since they were so kind to us, I figure I'd return the favor.

The H1 phone app gives a very quick decline. A short-term will give a quick decline, especially if you have an app link to an online app. Sending them to Aetna's IFP sounds deliciously vengeful, though, doesn't it?

You just asked if you should lie to them. This business requires work pro bono. Don't you think you'll get some business from some of the people you help, even if you don't make a commission?

Sorry....but we are in a fight for relevance right now.

I get referrals from folks I never made a dime off of, but times are different. I don't have the time or desire to spend as much time with folks as I used to. I grab the low hanging fruit and move on.

THAT is relevance.
