I am a Life Insurance agent/Financial Planner. Have been licensed in Life and Disability for over 2 years and just got my 6/63 registration. The company I work for represents is a major insurance and financial products carrier. So I have the ability to do anything from insurance to mutual funds to disability insurance, business insurance, etc. So I am not really captive to whether I offer my clients an annuity or securities.
The question is which would be more beneficial and lucrative to my career in the LONG RUN. If I go the professional financial planning route, it would mean either getting a ChFA or a CFP, if I focus more on the insurance end of it, it would mean getting the LUTCF and the CLU. Both areas are interesting focus, and my company will help pay and reimburse for them. I was thinking of doing either the Series 7 next, or the LUTCF.
Also work has tons of different classes too through their 'university' that aren't product based too.
Any recommendations from those who have more experience in the field would be helpful.
