Hello,

In the process of opening a small independent agency. I have been looking around for a competitive MGA to use for placing business. I heard insurance noodle, superior access and the general agent. Superior access has a monthly fee and the others a one time fee. Does anyone have any experience with these guys or could point me in the direction of a good one to use.

Are you talking aobut personal lines or commercial? Personal lines can probably be accomplished through online services and cookie cutter products, but if you are serious about commercial then you need to establish relationships with a couple of wholesale brokers. Find ones that have markets and expertise for the classes you want to write, and someone who will give you time and consideration as a new agency.

good luck..its tricky as an indy getting started. took me a while to find an MGA that didn;t charge me any fees or start up costs..even longer to find good contracts with some kind of leads...hope to get more info on this site..
