The Feds will have no problem justifying drug pricing, as many of these same drugs are sold elsewhere in the world at substantially lower pricing while still being profitable. Big Pharma can go cry me a river all they want.

However, I still don't understand how the U.S. residents have to pay more for the same thing. Someone needs to answer that question!

They don't HAVE to but if someone doesn't hold big pharma accountable they will charge whatever they please.
I agree, but I don't think dictating and holding their feet to the fire is the way to do it. That is unconstitutional as hell!!

There's a law that the VA gets a 24% discount on drugs.. is that also unconstitutional? https://www.va.gov/oig/pubs/VAOIG-19-07281-105.pdf
The VA and Medicare account for nearly a third of all drug spending in this country, if the VA is able to get these discounts then the feds should too.
Do you not think that these pharmaceutical companies should be able to dictate and charge whatever they want when a full third of their US revenue comes from the government?
And I know this is going to be an unpopular opinion here but the constitution is like the bible, an old book written by men in a different time that doesn't fully apply to the world we live in today.

I hate Big Pharma, but I can see both sides of the argument.
Monopolies are also unconstitutional.
