Whole Life for 40 year old smoker

Are there still no exams at the higher amounts?

Goose, I believe RNA's non med goes to 250K on WL but it's still 100K on term.

Below are the rates I'm getting for today in Florida. I'm wondering about JD's rate of last year:

@JD: Does RNA have different levels (as below) for smoker and non-smoker in Kentucky? Or perhaps they did a year ago? I'm getting 173.30 for both FL and KY on both their new quick quote and on their website but, again, your quote was a for a year ago. I don't recall any rate changes within the last year but then again...the Florida sun bakes brains alot here
.

Essential Life/40 year old male smoker

Super Preferred Non-Tobacco N/A
Preferred Non-Tobacco N/A
Preferred Tobacco N/A

Standard Non-Tobacco $134.24
Standard Tobacco $173.30
Standard Non-Tobacco Youth N/A

In FL RNA has had different rate levels only for their term plans.

The best rate I have would be LBL at 163.63 for 100K and it's non med up to 250K.

FYI: LBL (the Flex4Life plan) has better rates than RNA, can go down to 10K, has a higher CTR benefit and has a Grandchild rider. The thing I don't like is that you have to have a base benefit of at least 35K before you can ad AD to it.

I don't know when I made that post but it must have been beofre the rate increase in Oct or Nov. They really went up on smokers.

OK, I checked. I made that post last June That was before they went up.

I would recommend Trinity Life's fully underwritten now.

No exam to $250,000 face now except for over age 65. Then it's an exam for any face amount.

EL is not that competitive for smokers anymore.
