Wholesale and GA Question

I am new, should I get with a wholesaler or GA, or try to get appointments directly with companies? And If I go with a wholesaler who owns the book?

Great advice. I would add that any new agent in need of training or advice on the Life side, join the Independent Life Insurance Agents Association. They are a valuable, unbiased resource.
