Why Do FE Producers Ask for Rates So Often?

I can no longer afford FexQuotes, due to meeting u for lunch every month & demanding I foot the bill! :twitchy: :D :goofy:

If you are a member of IlIAA you already get FexQuotes, Compulife and medicare101 on their site.
Disclaimer: no that cheap bastage Rick did not pay me a dime for this plug.

I tend to agree with Rick on this. If you need a quote from a company you are already contracted with then just figure it up for yourself. If you aren't then are people picking up companies just for one sale? It would have to be a really nice sale and pretty much a lay down before I'd do that. I doubt I do things the way most of you guys do. Given a client that's 50+ I could quote them rates from 7 companies. Then I just let them pick the one they want....going over the pro and cons of each. Such as....Company A and C have AD included whereas this one you'll get a family prescription card. We all know that clients buy what they want and not what WE think they need, but I do give recommendations as well.

Health wise I pre-qualify pretty extensively soas I only quote rates for the company that I believe they'll qualify for and if they don't I explain why I didn't quote that particular company. For example why figure a quote from 5-Star if they've been Type 1 since 38? Even if I had Fexqoutes I wouldn't use it much because I like to think about my client's case (health wise) more than a website can.

There seems to be a divide between FE people and non FE people. As far as my opinion goes "Final Expense" is just a marketing phrase for life insurance sold to a certain age range. All "final expense" is life insurance and all life insurance is final expense. They are all meant to pay when one croaks.

Anyway...time to go piss several people off on my Chess site...

AIG, Executive Life... AM Best ratings are way over-rated.

I buy into selling a competitively-priced product, because I know SL/LH will be replaced more often than not, especially with more and more agents gravitating towards final expense insurance from other insurance niches.

...But what I don't buy into is selling the lowest-price product, all the time, as if not doing so was "immoral."

Look guys -- the best policy to sell is the one that will be in force. Preferably the one you can sell on the first visit.

Products a couple bucks higher, more often than not, will not be replaced, versus something that's $15-$20 higher for the same thing, in this market.

You can't put AIG in the same class as Excutive Life.. The life insurance subsidiaries with AIG were solvent and the policyholders were never in danger. It was a mortgage investment aarm that caused the AIG problems. And, yes the government did bail AIG out but AIG has repayed what they owed and returned a profit to the taxpayers.. Same can't be said about Chrysler or all the Green companies we bailed out..

Sounds very close to my way and thinking.

Exempt I do use FexQuotes the same way I use compulife. I run the comparison then pick who they will buy.

I think I have been unintentionally guilty of asking for a price qoute on this forum before. I didn't realize that I was stepping on anyones toes. But, I am a card carrying member of ILIAA, so do I get a free pass?

Maybe from Nick, Rick will charge you interest.

Not sure but you may get a discount from FexQuotes for being a member. I get mine from Todd King. I think.

Don't worry you aren't... Rick doesn't have toes, he has holves!
