Why sell permanent Insurance?

$15/hr for my telemarketer and she gets 2 leads per hour on average = $7.50 per lead. That's hard to beat.

Harder to beat is calling yourself which is free.

I would agree totally with that. For the value of the buck what can beat telemarketers? Yet I'm not sure if that would be true in the individual life market, cold calling that is. Plus calling yourself is not free, how much do you make if you concentrate on selling? If you hire telemarketers and pay them around $7.50 a lead or say $15 hourly, and that frees time for yourself (even if its off time to recharge) aids in one aspect or another in closing more sales one can I'm sure make that calling by you quite expensive. What expression have you used in the recent past? Oh yea, Lost Oppurtunity. Plus it gives you a great feeling once you start creating jobs.

Ps if you put together a good team of telemarketers together you'll quickly produce more leads or have a serious surplus. Now think about that, talk about generating new avenues of cash flow.

The other aspect is knowing youself. I can be quite lazy and if up to me I'd just tool around all day shopping and eating out.

Because of that if I'm in the mood to make calls and make 'em. If I'm not in the mood I find myself out running around. And that's a recipe for disaster.

I have to farm it out since I know myself well enough to know I'm not gonna sit here 2 to 4 hours a day making cold calls. I work well when I'm very busy and don't work well when there's not a lot to do.

I also think it simply works better to have a female calling mainly male business owners. I also thinks it makes me look at bit like a piker when I'm calling and I own the agency.

It just works well that I have telemarketers shooting me leads all day. It keeps me in my office working.

So the big question to ask is to you farm it out or develope a boiler room in house? I've always been a control freak in some manners, in the past it has aided me and other times it cause me to fail. Yet as you say, you have to know yourself and stick with your strengths.

I really don't want to create bills I don't need - like an office. Although I must admit I'm still torn between doing what I've been doing and getting an office with two in-house marketers. Pros and cons to both methods.

In time I betcha you'll fall for the office and employees, a lot of pro's there.

Pros:

1) Easier to hire, retain and manage marketers
2) Arguably will simply work more with no home distractions
3) Probably double my income in an office environment

Cons:

1) I have to get dressed and drive to an office.
2) I have to get dressed and drive to an office.
3) I have to get dressed and drive to an office.

Some choices are difficult and will cause life changes, it may or may not be worth it for many including myself. I don't think most people are driven to create more than they feel that they need in any major way. Of course the definition of of "Need" varies widely!
