Why Small Regionals Are Awesome

Hey 1822, I think I saw where you were moving from QQ. Did you end up doing it? I have QQ Evolution but considering upgrading to Catalyst because it seems more user friendly.

Travelers, Kemper, Donegal, Encompass, Safeco, Grange, Mapfre, Penn National, Allied, Progressive, GMAC, & The Philadelphia Contributionship as my main carriers. I don't really lose to anybody anymore unless the person recently had like 2 DUI's or crazy claims.

you have direct appointments with these carriers or you go through cluster?

I also hope smaller regionals stay around for a long time to come vs. being acquired by the nationals. They are great for personal lines. One of our regionals still has the best HO rating system out of all our carries. We can get a home quote in about 2-3 minutes.

They can also be great for us on small commercial if we hit on their limited offerings. However, our regionals, as I would expect is the case with most regionals are weak on their commercial lines offerings overall. In general they have a much more limited appetite which is a limiting factor for us...

Several of us are SIAA agencies. I was a scratch agency so I used them for access initially. More established agencies look at the profit sharing.

DO it! We switched from Evolution to catalyst when it first came out. Rookie move on my part, It was to early.

Biggest thing I miss from Evolution, the envelope printing. That was convenient. Aside from that small gripe I can't imagine going back to Evolution. Browser based systems just make it so easy.

Happy to discuss further with you if you want.
