Why So Many Companies Looking for Agents?

There is an investment of time that varies by an individual agent's needs, and with time being our greatest asset, it can cost a lot to have a revolving door of sales people.

In fact it's much better to maintain/retain a sales force than to constantly be hiring/training, dealing with appointments/contracts, questions, etc again and again.

Also, the failure rate would be much lower if agents received a thorough understanding of what this job entailed, and were also trained and supported properly, as in given a fair chance.

A straight commission job costs the recruiter nothing for each hire and if you make one sale he gets an over ride on it.
So many of the straight commission opportunities would hire anyone and everyone for that reason alone.

Ding Ding Ding Ding! That was the correct answer ladies and gentleman. The only job skills requirement insurance agent recruiters are looking for is that you must be dumb, desperate and gullible enough to listen to them. 99% of those recruiters are lazy insurance agents who have decided it would be easier to get you to go out and work then to get themselves to work!:1arghh:

Since posting my resume online, I have gotten at least a dozen offers from companies looking for agents.

Are there really too few agents for customers, or is the turnover too high or is it some other reason?

thanks

David, where did you post your resume online??

they don't employ you .. they make commission off the policies you write.. so you write a couple policies.. even if you fail.. they still make out.

Nothing wrong with the business model but keep in mind that you're nothing special. and it's not a typical "job" as you know it.
