No more Scope forms needed 48 hours ahead of appointments or Recorded telephone conversations ?

I would put money on both of them going away. Trump has already said how stupid it is that people need to wait 48 hours to simply speak to an agent. My FMO is lobbying hard to make call recording go away, and I hope everyone else's is too. We pay FMO's a lot of money...the least they can do is represent us and make our agent lives easier. All I have to say is "BYE BYE CHIQUITA!!! Don't let the door hit you in the @SS!"

You obviously didn’t get the memo . I’d say 95% of agents don’t wait 48 hrs . Everything’s a call in or they came to my office

You're not wrong, but it's still a technicality "gotcha!" that they do have to use against us, potentially. It all just needs to go away. It's absolutely pointless and useless. Why give them any sort of upper hand or satisfaction at all? They only instituted it because they hate agents, anyway. To quote a line from my favorite movie, "Casino".......

Permission to contact is the worst IMO. The scope doesn’t bother me as I have a CRM that automatically sends out the scope to text and email with an explanation of why it’s being sent.

Dr. Oz used to do paid in-show endorsements for one of the giant call center brokers. Ha The dude shills for a living.

Also, the Trump administration is transparently (very) pro Medicare Advantage. There is absolutely nothing to suggest he’ll ruin the program. He wants to expand it. So does the Republican Party in general.

I read through a few of the posts, and not really sure about some of the assumptions, particularly about huffing paint. I didn't even know that was a thing nowadays.

I think appointing Dr. Oz is very strange. He's a Doctor and an entertainer. I'm sure there are many people way more qualified to be the head of a complex bureaucratic organization.

So far, it looks like the cabinet picks, and other presidential appointees are made for TV. I guess his admin is going to be something like watching the Apprentice.

I think there’s some big red flags being missed . Agents are focusing on dr oz is good for this or that . It’s what the carriers are doing that matters . This aep we’ve had several big carriers commission suppress products . No they didn’t pull the products . There testing the waters how they sell with no commissions . If the results are good then agent comp will start to be phased out . First we’ll see these now non commission products the agent was paid on non renewed .There will always be smaller carriers that want to grow paying some commissions . If oz helps carriers you better damm well believe the carriers are looking to keep that extra profit . Did State Farm or Allstate give 2 craps about the agent when they pulled out of California or Fla ? The agent was left high and dry . I’ve read many times less than 1/3 of all Medicare plans sold directly by agents .

the reason commissions were cuts were because of the new regulations, and the change to the way carriers were being paid (change in star rating calculations).

Way off on MAPD. Overall it’s about 2/3 external and 1/3 other. It wasn’t long ago that Humana said on an earnings call that just shy of half all sales came just from the big call center brokers.
