Worker Comp Carriers

anyone know any good small bop worker comp carriers? i have a lot of 1-4 employee under 5-1.5k premium but dont want to use ny state fund.

Looking for something like applied underwriter who does only worker comp but for standard classes

applied underwriter does 5000+ and 5 employees and up

WC is going to completely vary by the Class code....

Hard to say this one does this and that one does that....

Employers is pretty good and a broad market

Applied underwriter is really good for people who work with their hands and med size accounts... Too bad most of my clients are mom and pop grocery shops, small take out restaurants and small offices.

I got excited abut first comp but they don't write nj or ny

Employer skips those two also :(

Maybe I should move to PA lol they get so many carriers and less strict appointment processes....

If you are looking for a carrier that can write the BOP and WC as a package in NY I would recommend Peerless.

Is peerless the same as being appointed as liberty mutual commercial underwriting?

I have wc thru Hartford right now but i want more carriers for competitiveness and to offer my CPA clients.

AmTrust is good for the small and medium stuff, plus they are pretty liberal with the credits...
