Worst FE Carriers ? (your opinion)

You've said 1000 times your not an Fe agent . And most fe clients only care if they get there booze and cigs each week . It's the reality of the people we deal with . They send in 10 cards a yr abd most have had many policy's over the last 5-10 yrs

Those are the people you market to. You pick the people you want to pitch to. You get what you filter to.

Explaine to me how all these professional FE guys tout high persistency yet others talk about how their FE customers are not loyal, lapse, and bounce around?

I am not an FE agent. I am a Life insurance agent. 90% of my "FE" clients come from referrals from other FE clients. Which were most likely referred to me by other clients.

The client Wednesday is one of maybe a dozen+ clients I have written in the family in 20 years. The one I wrote yesterday 78, owns a Participating WL, this one done by phone, $30k, Esignature w/UHL, referred to me, by a company I write, because of my reputation with them.

So am I an FE agent? I write "FE", wrote my first little $5,000 WL "burial" policy in the 80s.

Describe the Final Expense market please. Also describe what a final expense policy is please.

You may want to build a stronger book. My people are very loyal.

Not if you explain it, I've never had that be an issue.

The sense I get is that there are agents who have too little regard for the prospects we market to simply because they are FE prospects.

And many agents do not take the time to develop and deliver a proper FE sales presentation which would address these issues concerning inferior products. If you don't take the time to educate your prospect, they will continue looking for a "better deal" because the only thing they have to go on is price because nothing has been explained to them.

Furthermore, the reason they keep sending those cards in is likely one of two reasons: First, a large percentage of the people to whom we mail these are illiterate - I'd guess as many as 30% can read "State" and "benefit" and "free" and little else.

But the second reason the majority send in the card, and this is most important, is that most of these folks really do care about taking care of this for their families. If you think that what matters most to them is cigarettes and booze, then you're going to have persistency problems and you will be the cause of those problems.

We all have lapses and we all have not takens, but if you are trained up proper and you yourself genuinely believe in the importance of the product to your prospects then you should rarely be replaced, imo. And if you are doing your job proper and these folks trust you, even when someone comes in and replaces your LBL standard with KSKJ, you should have a good chance of coming in and saving it in my opinion.

I have been completely disappointed in Sentinel over the last 12 months. I pick them up when they had the absolute best phone application. Whole process start to finish was never more than 15 minutes. Then they change the compensation, change the application process and basically have become a useless company. Best example I could come up with.
I haven't used the e-app, but It's supposed to have an instant decision(most of the time). Have you tried that?

I never tried Sentinel's phone app, but I liked Equitable's. That was nice. No paper app needed and instant decision. Did Sentinel's work like that? I had the impression it was a longer interview, like a half an hour, so I just stuck to the paper app and 5 minute PHI.

I wasn't happy about the cut, but to be fair, they actually raised the commissions for Modified ages 76-85.

The Sentinel app does not render a decision you have to call do a phone interview and then wait until you get an email back from the company. Several of my cases they have ordered a second phone interview which caused the business never get issued.

He markets to the same people all of us FE folks market to. Drop @jdeasy into this guys back yard with the same stack of leads and all those problems go away.

JD and I disagreed on stuff. However, one thing I always got a sense of is he believes they are his people. I would bet he is hard to replace in most of his homes.
He and I have never met but I envision him as Clint Eastwood in gran torino.

Yes, I knew that you had to call Aptical after submitting the e-app...didn't know that most need further review.
