Worst FE Carriers ? (your opinion)

Transamerica: "So you need the applicant to initial and date the change, and then have her sign and date that page. Also whenever any change is made to the application the the applicant must re-sign and re-date page 4 of the application."

Me: "Just send it with an amendment."

Transamerica: "No problem. We can do that .... Ok, amendment ordered."

Transamerica has gone haywire on being anal. Obviously like most on here i don't fill out every single line of an app when i'm writing one. So now i'm actually taking a copy of the sig pages before i fill out completely to send in . Thats because if i cross a t or dot an i wrong i can redo it. I thought Jet issue was gone but got one yesterday. Trans is also questioning the use of almost every dual purpose med which they never used to do. I almost lost a sale as i had to go to the clients house 3 times because of anal Trans. Making my job tough and i'm looking at placing more business with other carriers. The rep told me last week their still getting 1000 apps a day.

They are a necessary evil at this point. Good with direct express and isosorbide/nitro.

I don't mind these guys until they solicit your clients with their in house GI product that is cheaper than living promise. Talk about lighting a fire!!!

I've lost a few Standard rating with trans to Moo GI. It's 20-30% cheaper and to be honest unless the persons real old or sick 9 out 10 times the Moo policy is a good bet .Also Moo won't take the heart issues or all the pain crap like OxyContin Trans will . Ive had a few narcan the people only used for precaution they issued no problem . Copd is another area their strong . Moo,Globe,AARP are serious competitors for the agent. Fe has very little loyalty and these people are getting bombarded monthly . So they look at Globes rates which are much cheaper not knowing its term .

You may want to build a stronger book. My people are very loyal.
