Wrote My First Forethought Freedom Policy Today...

You are right about the adb rider is offered only to level costing extra, but the public transportation adb is free and tacked onto all types of policies.
Whats the percentage of paid out adb benefits...

I dont understand what your saying about the quick claim...

When death occurs the ForeThought policies pay out just like preneed policies pay out. That means if you died today the money is in your beneficiary's checking account by tomorrow. There is no waiting for death certificates or claims processing. They only need the signature of a licensed funeral director.

Most FE companies have regular claims processing which means wait for death certs (in Kentucky that is a minimum of 30-days) and then file a claim. The claims process usually takes two to three weeks after it's filed.

I have a contestible claim with Foresters that they still haven't paid out and the insured died last July. They have had all the info on the guy from the VA since December. An attorney has been very active with it the whole way and can't believe how Foresters is taking this much time. Their answer has been they can take all the time they want, there is no limit. They can't find a reason to decline the claim but they certainly aren't working toward paying it either. It's the worst one I've ever seen.

ForeThought isn't going to pay a contestible claim in 24 hours either. But they work to get things resolved quickly as do MOST companies.

That is an absolutely horrible way for an insurance company to conduct business. Are you still using Foresters?

Product to me is almost not worth selling with the drug list they put together and the renewals are terrible. If you've got a client that is that solid gold you may as well get some decent renewals out of it.

Forethoughts underwriting sucks ass

Right outta the box they declined 2 of my clients end up putting them both through Foresters with no problem
