That would certainly put the breaks on the churn and burn call center agents. But let's see if this new regulation sticks in a few months with the new administration

You really have no idea how slowly Medicare changes things. This is extraordinarily low level guidance. No one working for Trump is going to bat an eye at this.

Kinda terrible in that if this were to legitimately effect one of our clients where they actually needed the SEP. We would then lose them as a client?

I wonder about the accuracy/truthfulness of this statement. The plans were concerned?

"This change is in response to concerns that have been raised by plans about the misuse of theDisaster/Emergency SEP to enroll beneficiaries who were not affected by a declared disaster/emergency."

The only Plans that were concerned were the ones who are going non commissionable to try and stem the flow of claims that have driven their loss ratios north of 92%

Centene played a big role in this.. Per my contact over there people were severely abusing this SEP... I have run MARx checks and seen people who have changed their insurance monthly for years... something had to be done.
