You Don't Have a Web Site ?

I am guessing that it's because of the same problem that most people have with words like ..

Quiet ... Vs ... Quite
Weather.. Vs ...Whether

:swoon:

What I find interesting is agents who have a website and lead capture, but don't follow up with people who have requested info!

You mean the computer doesn't do that for you?

I thought clients would fill out their own applications, buy the policies, and handle everything while the agent sits on a beach sipping adult beverages, while commissions are auto-deposited in his bank account.

Some of you will laugh, and some will go, "Really, that's sound great!"

Those of you laughing are having the correct reaction.

Life insurance is a grudge sale product. If an agent is not involved, it is not likely to get done. What you want is a web site that causes a consumer to reach out and contact you with a phone number or email address. But when you get that, you deal with that prospect like any other. You need to call them and engage them in a discussion about their insurance needs. Life insurance doesn't sell itself and if it did you don't think the life companies would be using agents like you do you? There is a reason that they pay those big fat whopping commissions.

NOTE: I realize the last statement will have a whole new group of you folks mad at me, but go ahead and disagree with that - I'll be happy to respond.

What I hate about forum members is they tell you something is not good for one thing or another, but for some reason fail to inform you as to what is good for it.

Am I the only one who notices this?

People please post the alternative if you are going to tell me what not to use.

Because than I am stuck with nothing to use.

Did I use than right, or was it suppose to be then?

I am quiet confuse on weather to use then or than.

I am a big fan of xsitepro2.com and its software. I've made a ton of websites with them... The software is easy to use and you only have to upload it to your ftp.. It cost about 150 bucks and you can make as many websites as you like. It makes it easy to add videos, audio, links, pics and tons of stuff.

My www.rosenthalfiles.com was made with it and it was a good investment for me using the software.

I used my earlier remarks this month as the basis of a couple sections in my May Bulletin to customers.

I think it is a nice enough job to post it here:

Monthly Bulletin

Note that I have taken the concerns expressed about giving out FTP addresses, id's and passwords and have dealt with it accordingly.

It's pretty ironic. This afternoon I had a subscriber call up, tell me he didn't have a web site and asked what should he do. I said, you're in luck, this month's bulletin deals with it. Like most agents, he doesn't like to read so he just started asking me questions. Each question (which I have heard over and over many times before) was systematically addressed in the bulletin, in pretty much the same order as he was asking them. I kept saying, that's in the bulletin, you can read it there - he kept asking me anyway.

All I can say is that the bulletin, and my posting on this thread, have hit the nail on the head.

Subsequent to this posting, I received this message off line:
Hi:

Can I subscribe to your monthly bulletin. If so please provide me with the link inorder to sign up for it. Thank you.

Best Regards,
Monthly bulletins are a free service to those who subscribe to Compulife, and past bulletins can be found here:

Compulife US Monthly Bulletins

There is another bulletin which is internal to the Compulife subscription called the Midmonth bulletin. That bulletin is used to log significant changes to company and products that are being compared by Compulife in our software.
