Al, thanks for asking.
That is not going to happen!
That is going to happen. In fact it is being worked on as we speak.
YIO was originally created 15 years ago and there has never been an issue with the integrity of the data in the program. Ever.
YIO is being totally rewritten, not in Access, not because of problems we have had with Access but to more easily add additional features and functions like importing, document storage to clients and prospects records, drip marketing and many more.
It apparently isn't as easy a task as you have indicated. If it was, it would be done by now and the cost of doing so would be substantially less than the estimate my programmers have given me. If you can do it for a matter of a few thousand dollars then maybe I should have contracted with you to do it
Yes it is and does, thank you for noticing.
Yes there are. Thank you again for noticing.
The next upgrade that is being worked on now and will be released later this year will be a whole lot more than just a web-based system. There will be three options for an agent. They will be able to have it computer based the way YIO is now. Option two will be a web-based program and the third option will be a PDA version.
With that said, it is highly unlikely that I personally will use the web-based version. I know and have heard all of the arguments but it will not enhance the value of YIO for me to have it web-based.
and Frank will end up discontinuing development of the system.

I'm surprised he has not invested in porting YIO to the web and making it a subscription system

I would not put ANYTHING mission critical on Access. It's fine for a simple phone list or simple invoice program... but I would never sleep at night knowing that the integrity of my agency data depended on Microsoft Access.

YIO as a program is fine. It is easy to use and has a huge number of features for the agent....
Yes it is and does, thank you for noticing.
But if YIO works for you... then by all means use it and enjoy it. Rick loves it. There are a huge number of other agents who love it.
Yes there are. Thank you again for noticing.
Like I say, I don't know why Frank does not create a web-based version.
