In house carrier agents will be getting these beneficiaries bc they are paid base salary and bonus on any new enrollments. The brokers were not here in 2005 then the flood gates opened and much regulation for bad actors.

The pork fat is going to get cut and brokers will be a thing of the past bc this is a govt program.

I don’t think you’re wrong but so what. Not like we went to school for years and years and have so much invested into being an agent. What other Job can you take a class, pass a test and make a nice living? When it happens we move on. Not a big deal.

MAPD is being snuffed out by doctors all across the country. When the book ledger goes red who do you thinks gonna lose their golf memberships? Shuttle rides? 3k hearing aids? OTC cards? 1k dental plans? Gym memberships?

Thats exactly the first move to becoming a “in house” takeover from brokers imo. What we see with alot
Of these telesales outfits can just as easily be moved to “in house” w all these doctors abandoning MAPD scrabbling beneficiaries get calls. Their local “in house” agents of facility coverages are gobbling up books of business. I see it happening w my lil book. Humana iis the first sign of this in Ohio. The local facility (Lewis OH) has their own program stealing Humana beneficiaries that are losing doctors.

Its coming sooner than I thought.

I’m talking about groups like GoHealth, SelectQuote, eHealth, etc. Although in some cases, yes, they are doing BPO type services on behalf of a specific carrier. But when they do it, the prices are stupid high. Basically the same as paying a multi line broker.

And none of those call centers have yet found any credible path to sustainability. They're money pits with tons and tons of debt and all sorts of legal risks to also manage.
