1st Year FE Agent Q's

If you are face-to-face in Georgia you are doing great, not decent. Most first year agents don't come close, that is BS. I am an old tired producer and would be very proud to have your results. For an agent in another state that is more FE friendly it may be an OK year, but if you are working in GA then you had a great 10 months. Some of the FMO's on the forum won't even recruit in your state. Just ask DonP how tough it is in his area.

The $110k is what I have been paid out on. That's with charge backs factored in. I think in total I wrote $130k total. Had it been a full 12 months, I would have submitted over $180k and paid out on $160k which I know is more than decent for beginning agents because I've seen what the top people are writing. The only number that really matters to me is what is in my bank account (not trying to sound rude). It just seems like a lot of people inflated their numbers.

You are exactly right. Issue paid is a way better number than written. You did good. You are above average.

Levels look great!

We have never changed the levels. Back just a few years ago everyone started at these levels. Now with all the "builders" and pyramiding the agents they start them lower based on how many people got there before you did.

We just do every agent direct and start you at your regular commission level. But there's more room to grow for solid producers.

It's all face to face for me and the typical mail piece I'm working doesn't mention Life Insurance on the card. It just says something like as a resident you're entitled to more benefits that may cover up to $35,000.00 in final expenses. Very very rarely will I get good ones that mention life insurance. I work 30 DM pieces per week which is pretty pricey and kills my profits. I'm big on excel so I track everything to the penny and when I start to see what's being left on the table with zero value being provided, it's frustrating.

It amazes me that you can get 30 leads a week consistently in GA. Most agents that I talk to who work south of Atlanta have trouble getting leads. Don't know what part of the state that you work or how much you pay for leads. Most fixed priced DM starts around $30. Also don't know what return on investment that you are looking for, but if you spend $1000 on leads and make $10,000 in net commissions you are above average.

I am just south of you in the FL panhadle and it is tough for me. If I submit $2500AP off of 20 leads I am happy. Sometimes more and sometimes less, but I average around $2500. Sell 20% of my leads.
