2020 Death Claims, how many?

You ask the question and don't answer yourself . Many CO's dont notify unless contestable so no idea

Simple question, no need to be so touchy. :nah:

I have had 15 known, my most recent on the 5th. As to unknowns I'm most likely 5 to 8 more. Most companies I am contracted with report. Past companies do not.

Only one I know for sure had covid as cause, but after speaking to family, covid was the least of the overall issues.

No secrets here on claims. I work them as close as I can as they most often yield additional results. :)

Wow that's a lot of claims !! . Better tighten that underwriting up .lol.How many of the 15 were contestable ? Did they pay if you had contestable?

Just wanted to see how many death claims some of you have experienced this year?

If I answer with 0, that will make an average of 7.5, leaving somebody, somewhere, with 1 foot in the grave, so I am not going to answer.

(or it could be 1 foot out of the grave, depending on whether you're a grave half full or grave half empty kind of guy.)

You said it. And yes, I did have 1 contested. A trans claim, that went wired really quick. His wife didn't know he had the condition, he answered no on the app, and the meds didn't tell the story. By that I mean a condition he should have had meds for, and he didn't. I asked how they discovered the condition and they said it was a doctor's report and not related to medication??? I think his doctor (who they both thought little of) stuck it to him when he passed.

Sad screwy story but we all have some of those.

This makes 2 tough years in a row... I really hate loosing clients I have come to appreciate over the years.

It's always empty with me unless I can smell the dirt. ;)

One - denied..

Wow...
